I Spy... a lot of grey clouds and... maths problems?!

Despite the rainy weather Year 4 enjoyed finding and solving addition and subtraction problems hidden around the playground. They had fun getting out and moving around while learning!

Relative Sizes!

Today in Science Year 4 conducted an investigation to demonstrate how two different-sized objects can appear to be the same size when they are different distances from the observer. We used a large ball and a small ball to represent the Sun and the Moon. Students had to observe the change in size as the 'Sun' moved further away from the observer.

Year 4 were surprised to learn how small our Moon actually is compared to the size of the Earth and the Sun!
